How to Check the Reconsideration Status for SRD Grant: In order to be able to successfully check your reconsideration status, you need to visit srd.sassa.gov.za/sc19/reconsideration and enter the required details to send pin. Currently, it’s available for those who have had their consideration pending since MAy 2020 till March 2022. As a beneficiary that falls into this category, check it there.

DECLINE REASON: Identity_verification_failed
MEANING: The personal information provided does not match the Department of Home Affairs details.

DECLINE REASON: Existing_sassa_grant
MEANING: The applicant is a current recipient of a Social grant other than a child grant

MEANING: The applicant is receiving a benefit from National Student Fund Aid Scheme

DECLINE REASON: Uif_registered
MEANING: The applicant is eligible for UIF benefits based on TERS OR Contributions to UIF OR is currently receiving the Unemployment Insurance Fund benefit

DECLINE REASON: Gov_payroll_registered
MEANING: The applicant is in employment in a government institution

DECLINE REASON: Age_outside_range(>60)
MEANING: The applicant does not qualify for the grant due to not meeting the age requirement ( Over 60)
WHAT MUST THE CLIENT DO TO DISPUTE OUTCOME: The client must apply for the old age grant, this can be done by visiting any SASSA Local Office or applying online at https://servcies.sassa.gov.za

DECLINE REASON: Suspended (Deceased Record on DHA)
MEANING: The client is registered as deceased on the Department of Home Affairs database
WHAT MUST THE CLIENT DO TO DISPUTE OUTCOME: 1. Contact Department of Home Affairs to correct living status.
