Application Channels for the Grant
There are several ways that people have used to apply over the years from the inception of the relief grant. Most of these have always ended up with the interested person visiting the website to fill in their details and send it in. However, some people experienced various challenges using some of these channels. This led to the agency coming out with these 2 main ways to use. The first is through whatsapp and the second is through the website.
The agency is available always on social media handles to be contacted those experiencing issues as well as though who want to express interest in getting the R350 payment. Chief among the social media handles that get a ready response is the whatsapp platform. On the platform, a message needs to be sent from your phone number.
Normally just a ‘hi’ or ‘sassa’ will do. They will then have to provide some personal details as prompted to receive a reference number, OTP and the website link to use. A follow-through on the link will lead to the website which will require the interested person to follow the instructions. After following all they will be required to confirm details and agree to the terms and conditions of accepting the grant.
Apart from the above channel, all interested persons will visit the website. The website is characterised by a distinct yellow or orange header bar at the top with the agency logo in the top left corner. All options that you need to complete or start the process is stated there on the page. You will only have to scroll down and read to know the appropriate option to choose.
