Changing your cellphone number for most people is necessary when they realise that they are not receiving the 6-digit OTP that SASSA sends to verify the authenticity of the applicant. It doesn’t take long to change your mobile phone number with SASSA.
All you need to do is visit the srd website and scroll to the bottom to select the id card numbers button. Then follow through to the new page. The first section you will find is the how to apply section. Scroll past that till you get to How do I change my contact details? This section is right after the lodging and appeal section on the same page. Take your time else you may scroll past it and not see.
Once you have selected the button to change your cellphone number, you will be required to enter your id card number used for the application and the application id sent to you when you completed and submitted your application. If you haven’t submitted an application yet then just use the how to apply link and restart your application as its not yet in the system.
