Age limits has been enforced since the covid relief grant was introduced. It has never been open to people of all ages. The major requirement to pass in order to be an eligible applicant is the age limit.
People above 18 years of age but below 60 years are eligible candidates to apply for the srd grant. This means those on pension payments and old age grants do not qualify to receive any payments.
If you find yourself outside the age bracket to receive the relief grant money, then check the other social grants from Sassa to apply for one of them as you may be in the age bracket for it.
Those who are below 18 years may qualify to apply for the child grant and foster child grant. If you find yourself in the category then check out the requirements for that grant and submit an application on your own behalf.
Old persons at 60 years and above are to apply for the old persons grant from Sassa to help with their daily living necessities.
