STEPS TO APPLY FOR SASSA R350

Once you meet the requirements you visit the srd website, scroll down to the bottom and select the button under the South African ID card holders if you’re a South African. A new page will load for you that will give you several button options on what next to do. Choose the first one under the ‘How do I apply for this srd grant?’ A new page will load and you enter your mobile phone number and select send sms.

An sms will be sent to your cellphone number, which contains a 6-digit otp that you must enter. Select the button to verify the pin. Subsequently, you will be given the terms and conditions to read and agree to them to continue. Provide your personal details such as name, surname, id number, age, gender etc and also answer the sassa application questionnaire. You will need to wait at this stage to be approved. After approval, you’ll need to go further to your banking details.

Finally, you go to the next step which will require you to enter your banking details for receiving payments for each month you are approved for. If you do not have a bank account you will have to select the cash send option. Remember that selecting the cash send option will require facial verification and approval before you can continue. Once you have completed the process, you will receive an sms containing you SASSA Application ID number and confirmation that your application is now active.
